Bible verse for March 2
I replied, “But my work seems so useless! I have spent my strength for nothing and to no purpose. Yet I leave it all in the Lord’s hand; I will trust God for my reward.” Isaiah 49:4
Prayer Reflections for March 2
“Yet I leave it all in the Lord’s hand.”
How comforting to know we are not responsible for the outcome of our work for God.
As we go through our day trying to be a light shining in the darkness at work, with our spouses, and as we raise our children. Often it feels like we are just spinning our wheels. Our words go in one ear and out the other of the people we are sharing our faith with. When are children are grown and spreading their wings we may be tempted to worry if we taught them everything they need to know.
The good news is God calls us to be faithful.
When we are doing the work God has called us to do, we follow the Holy Spirit’s prompting to talk to or pray for someone, give of our money or time, or whatever He is leading us to do, then we are being faithful. God alone is responsible for the outcome of our work for Him. He promises to use every circumstance for our good.
- What has God called you to do? Even if it seems like a waste of time.
- How can you be faithful without feeling overwhelmed by the responsibility for the outcome?
March 2 Prayer
Father God, I give this day to you. Please use me in whatever way you see fit according to your will. I ask you to put the right people in my path at the right time. Give me wisdom and discernment to do or say what you would have me to. Help me to be faithful to the work you have called me to do even when I don’t see the benefit. Give me strength to continue to fight the good fight for I know you are working in all things. I am leaving it in your capable hands and thanking you for your faithfulness. I am trusting your plan.
