Jesus Prayed Morning Blessings
Praying, praising, and giving thanks with morning blessings is not a recent phenomenon. We find the practice of morning blessings in the Jewish faith of Jesus’ time. They began as soon as they were getting up and ready for their day. A few examples of morning blessings were thankfulness for all God had provided, the power of discernment, and His guidance and strength.
When Jesus got up early to pray, He included morning blessings!

Daily Blessings from God
Every morning brings a choice for us. We can focus on our schedules, problems, to-do lists, or the problems in our world. Or- we can begin our day focusing on the many blessings that God provides.
Setting our attention and focus on the beauty of His world and creation brings us joy and peace. Is it any wonder sunrises are so captivating? It’s as if God knows when to get out His paintbrush and wow us with His artistry.
Blocking Your Blessings from God
We can awaken to the blessings of a beautiful sunrise, hear the birds (or little voices!) chirping and still deny His entry into our morning. The tough days can overshadow His blessings. There are days that circumstances pull us in many directions. Without His blessings, we don’t experience the peace and comfort He has for us.
But it is fully possible to let Him fill us with His peace and joy, even though our problems remain. He does this by showering us with His blessings and presence. Fill yourself up with them first each morning!
Good Morning Blessings for Friends
Morning blessings are also a short, sweet way to pass on God’s love and encouragement to your friends and family. It shows them how much you care for them.
Brighten someone’s day with morning blessings and pass on God’s daily gifts of true happiness, comfort, and joy.
You will give them some instant inspiration to deal with their challenges, too! Sending morning blessings reminds them you are thinking of them and that He has all they need to start their day off aligned with Him. It might be just the encouragement they need to hear as they begin their day.
Have a Blessed Morning!
God awakened you this morning with a wealth of gifts. You are so very precious in His sight! Give Him thanks and praise this morning and begin your day with a smile and a grateful heart. May His blessings refresh and comfort you. Listen for His words of love that He has especially for you.
He is joyfully singing over you each morning; have you heard Him? –
“For the Lord, your God is living among you. He is a mighty savior. He will take delight in you with gladness. With His love, he will calm all your fears. He will rejoice over you with joyful songs.” Zephaniah 3:17 NLT.
All of us will have days when we cannot rise above on our own. Let Him lift you and carry you through every circumstance that comes your way.
We can never have “too many” of His blessings! Surround yourself with them and pass them on to others!
