Bible verse for February 11
The LORD is my shepherd, I lack nothing. He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters. (Psalm 23:1-2)
Prayer Reflection & Questions for February 11
The Bible has many metaphors to describe God: a potter (Isaiah 64:8,) light (John 8:12,) vine (John 15:5,) and more. However, the shepherd is a metaphor that shows God with His people. A shepherd doesn’t simply go into the pasture from 8-5, he lives among the sheep.
God lives among us. When we declare that the Lord is our Shepherd, we are saying He is living among us, always taking care of us. How amazing is our God!
When you think of God as our shepherd, what thoughts come to your mind? How can you ask God to guide you today?
February 11 Prayer
Dear merciful God, I praise you for every moment you have shepherded me. I will never understand the depths you have gone to keep me safe but I am forever grateful. Amen!
