Bible verse for March 17
Commit to the LORD whatever you do, and he will establish your plans. (Proverbs 16:3 NIV)
Prayer Reflections for March 17
The word “commit” in this verse is from the Hebrew word “galal” which means to roll or to roll away. It is the same word used later in Proverbs 26:27 when it talks about rolling a stone.
God doesn’t want us to simply “commit” to God by putting Him as our priority. He wants us to give everything to Him. We can roll our thoughts, our worries, our anxieties, and everything we are feeling to Him, and He can carry that load for us.
In return, our will aligns closer to His, and He can establish our plans. What are you holding onto that you can give to God today?
March 17 Prayer
Dear Lord, Help me to roll everything to You and keep it there. Help me give you the burdens that are too much for me, and allow you to establish the plans for my life. Amen.
