Bible verse for April 11

“But if serving the Lord seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord.” (Joshua 24:15)

Prayer Reflections for April 11

If you want a great summary of the miracles of God during the time of Moses, check out Joshua 24:1-14. Many of us know the verse But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord. But this powerful verse is said after listing out how God showed up repeatedly in their lives and their ancestors’ lives.

We can learn everything about the Bible. We can memorize Bible verses and go to church every Sunday. But until we get a thriving prayer life that encourages us to take huge steps in faith, we won’t get to see the miracles God has in store for our lives.

If you feel frustrated that you haven’t seen a miracle, I encourage you to pray to God today to ask Him where you can take a huge step in faith. It will require going against the world and what is normal, but if you do it with the intention of glorifying God, He will show up in ways you never imagined.

April 11 Prayer

Dear Lord, You parted the Red Sea for Moses. You made the sun stand still for Joshua. I know that when I take huge leaps of faith in Your name, you will perform miracles in my life too. Help give me the confidence to find you in faith. In Jesus’ powerful name I pray, Amen!
