Bible verse for February 13
I will refresh the weary and satisfy the faint.” (Jeremiah 31:25)
Prayer Reflections for February 13
This verse was a promise that God made to the prophet Jeremiah as He spoke about freeing the people of Israel.
“This is what the Lord Almighty, the God of Israel, says: “When I bring them back from captivity, the people in the land of Judah and in its towns will once again use these words: ‘The Lord bless you, you prosperous city, you sacred mountain.’ People will live together in Judah and all its towns—farmers and those who move about with their flocks. I will refresh the weary and satisfy the faint.” (Jeremiah 31:21-25)
As we know, God fulfilled that promise. After 40 years in the desert, and meeting them repeatedly in the wilderness, he refreshed the weary and satisfied the faint. No matter what your “wilderness” experience is right now, God’s promises are just as true today. Ask Him to help refresh you, but be ready to take the steps of what that means of how He wants to do it.
February 13 Prayer
Most merciful God, I thank you that you refresh the weary and satisfy the faint. Please make it crystal clear the steps I need to take to be refreshed in Your love and grace today. Help me remove any barriers that are stopping me from feeling Your presence. Amen.
