Bible verse for January 2 Prayer

“Your word is a lamp for my feet and a light for my path.” Psalm 119:105 NIV

Questions to think about/prayer through for your January 2 Prayer

  1. How are you currently using the Bible as a light in Your Life? What small change could you make to improve this in the new year further?
  2. Read Psalm 119 in its entirety. What verses stood out to you the most? How can they be a guide to the new year?

January 2 Prayer

For our January 2 prayer, we incorporated three verses from the same chapter as, “Your word is a lamp for my feet and a light for my path.” We turned those three verses into one prayer below:

Lord, open my eyes that I may see wonderful things in your law (Psalm 119:18.) My soul is weary with sorrow, strengthen me according to your word (119:28.) May your unfailing love be my comfort, according to your promise to your servant (119:76.) Amen.
