Bible verse for January 27 Prayer

God, the Lord, is my strength;
    he makes my feet like the deer’s;
    he makes me tread on my high places. (Habakkuk 3:19)

Questions for your January 27 Prayer

  1. There was a powerful word in the Enduring Word commentary in regard to Habakkuk. It said, “What we praise is our strength.” Think of the things that you have praised lately- maybe a promotion, a good day, a financial burden relieved, etc. How can you make sure to root it back to God, who has made all those things happen, when good things happen in your life?
  2. Habakkuk is a book in which the prophet presents God with two complaints, or two questions. God answers each, and then it ends with Habakkuk’s prayer. In the beginning of the book, the first time God answers Habakkuk He tells him to make God’s response “plain on tablets.” Sometimes we think we need to complicate the Word of God, or pray with big words. How can you explain blessings from God to someone you know in a way that they can connect with?

January 27 Prayer

Dear God, I praise you for all the blessings in my life. I also bless you in the time of waiting for answered prayers, and I praise you even if I don’t know what is on the path ahead of me. I know you will be a lamp to my feet and a light to my path, and that is enough for me. Amen.
