Short Prayers from Bible Verses

I try to create short prayers from Bible verses whenever I can. If I can do it word for word it is amazing, but if not, turning a Bible verse into a prayer can be just as amazing.

It is so important to pray directly from Scripture! We can never go wrong by praying for the truth, and every word of the Bible is God’s truth.

One quick and easy way to increase a prayer life is praying a simple prayer directly from Scripture. It shows God that we are serious and ready to humble ourselves to whatever He asks of us, for His glory.

Here are some short prayers that are inspired directly from the Psalms. If they are in “quotations” that means they are word for word from the NIV translation. If there are no quotations they are inspired from it.

Conclusion

Answering prayer requests right in the moment is a great way to pray, especially in difficult times. You don’t need to wait for it to be a quiet and beautiful morning prayer. Things come up in daily life, and there is nothing that shows God’s love like dropping whatever we are doing to pray for someone. Jesus was interrupted all the time, and yet He always stopped for someone. Actually, most of Jesus’ miracles were done when He was on the way to do something else.

Don’t cling to popular prayers (unless it is the Lord’s Prayer of course!). Use these prayers as a starting point to remember God’s unending love for us. Every day is a good day to pray. We pray for you as you embark on your journey of eternal life following God and witnessing His unconditional love through the power of prayer.
